News from Susan Miller — January 2022

Spread the love

Dear Reader,

Happy New Year! This will be a much better year than 2020 and its twin, 2021. You have so much to look forward to this year! Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, just entered Pisces a few days ago on December 29. Jupiter will stay in Pisces until May 10, giving all the water signs and the earth signs reason to cheer.

After May 10, Jupiter will enter Aries, to stay until October 27, and then retreat back to Pisces for a second shot at luck, until December 20, 2022. After December 20, Jupiter will be back to Aries, to stay until May 2023! This will give Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius amazing good fortune. As you see EVERYONE has reason to be excited about the New Year. Everyone will be receiving chocolates from Jupiter.

When I first looked at last year, 2021, I was dismayed to see that I could not find a sparkling of really good aspects sprinkled throughout the year. Worse, I saw very difficult lunations (full and new moons) on April 26, August 8, and November 4. When I write my calendar, I get to see into every detail of the year. In many ways I feel 2021 was a year of many endings, and those can be sad, but I realize we need endings to have room for fresh starts. This year has many days that glitter like gems, and so many of them are in my two favorite months, February and March.

January continues the trend started on December 19 when Venus started to retrograde and will go direct on January 29.

Venus’ little brother Mercury will go retrograde, too—January 14 to February 3—so this means January will start slow. Still, there are so many good opportunities in January, you might not mind or even notice the retrogrades. There will be many good things to focus on.

I am sorry I am late with your monthly forecast. You always have the option of downloading my app for your daily forecast—it is free, and if you want more, you can upgrade for the premium paid version (an in-app purchase), with much more detailed news and advice for about a dollar a week ($4.99 a month).

My app is offered on the Apple App Store and Google Play, and it is called “Daily Horoscope AstrologyZone + More by Susan Miller.” If you simply search “Susan Miller,” I come up first—and you will see me in a photo wearing a white blouse.

I bet you, like me, worked hard over the holidays. I put up a seven foot fresh tree and decorated it, I bought and wrapped presents, and in the weeks leading to Christmas, polished silver and made sure the china and crystal were in perfect order. All through the month I kept writing, too. I made a Christmas dinner. Perhaps your life was similar to mine. For several years, I didn’t do most of these things, but I missed getting into the spirit of the holiday.

There were reasons to be excited about the holiday this year, and I wanted to make a point to make it special. Last year the pandemic made it impossible for my younger daughter, Diana, to return home for Thanksgiving or Christmas, and we missed her. The experts were advising everyone to stay home and stay safe. This year, with all of us triple vaccinated, Diana could make the trip from Los Angeles to be in New York City. I wanted to make the holiday special, for her and her sister, Chrissie (who lives here), and Chrissie’s husband and son, Otis, who is now 5, the age when memories are formed. I feel warm inside having done all that I did for my family. This is why I am a little late and am so sorry! I tried not to be!

I also didn’t want to rush January’s report for any sign. There will be many dazzling aspects to be joyful about and to use to your advantage. By February and certainly by March, you will see so much evidence that you will be convinced that this WILL be a much better year.

Thank you for ordering so many of my calendars! We are down to our last 200, so if you want one, hurry, and my fulfillment house will send it out to you quickly. I self-publish my calendar, and I write every word and hire a team to help me edit it. The artwork is by my favorite French artist, Izak Zenou. (Izak is on Instagram so you can see samples of his work. You will see why he is in such demand from the fashion and beauty industry.) If you want a calendar, order today before they are all sold out! Click here:

In addition, you have been ordering the Celestial Collection beauty and wellness box I did for InStyle magazine. I hope you are enjoying my 58-page book found inside the boxes—my book is called “Year Ahead 2022.” The beauty editors at Instyle tell me they are thrilled with your response. Thank you!

There is still inventory of these boxes available if you want one. They are $35.00 each. Your box will come chock full of beauty products that are just reaching the market now. You will also get my “Year Ahead 2022” nicely laid out, separated into chapters for each sign.

Keep in mind that even if you buy a beauty box of one element, for example, Air, you still will get my forecast for all 12 signs for 2022, not just a forecast for Air signs.

This product is only available to readers in the US. I am sorry, Instyle cannot send the boxes to foreign cities. I am still working on this problem, so stay tuned.

When you order, choose your element (Fire, Air, Earth, or Water) for I chose the prefect products for you by your element. Your beauty box will be the New Year’s gift you give yourself. There are products inside that men can use, too. For more information and to order, click here:

Finally, I am excited to share with you that I will give a virtual talk on “The Year Ahead 2022” with NCGR Boston. NCGR is one of the most prestigious astrological clubs, and it’s based in America (they also have offices in international cities).

Please join us on Zoom, January 16, 2022, 2:00PM-5:00 PM, EST. NCGR Boston is the first to offer this workshop. The session will not be recorded, so please join us for this live event.

“The Year Ahead 2022” will be your blueprint to plan your year ahead. Know about upcoming eclipses and new and full moons, and the interactions of the planets will help you design a successful year. I will touch on romance, of course—we all want to know about love—and I’ll also cover career, home, family, finances, and much more.

I am planning on a lively and interactive workshop where you can raise your hand on Zoom and ask your question at various points of my session (not just at the end). My friend Ramya will be the host, and she will call on you. This way, if you would like a point clarified, I can do that for you. No previous knowledge of astrology is necessary—I can speak to both professional and layman together as I do in my column on

The cost is $29 for current NCGR members, all others pay $65. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to NCGR’s Lucy Titunik Fund, for astrologers who experience difficulty paying medical bills. To order tickets:

I hope I will see you there and that we can all talk together.

Happy New Year!
